Mas Amiel "Alt.433 M" 2021 Croix d'en Rodrigues Maury Sec, Roussillon

One of the only wines I think goes well with chocolate desserts that aren’t too sweet. Made from Grenache and Lladoner, organically and biodynamically grown in Maury, a region in the south west of France, soils that are rich with compressed clay and limestone. The fruit for this just barely sweet red is twice sorted to ensure perfect berries for pressing. Super intense with figgy, rich dark chocolate flavors, raspberry paste and minty basil. Dense and chewy in the mouth with a nice snap of tart cranberry on the finish. Gorgeous cheese wine for after dinner.
