Chateau David Beaulieu 2020 Bordeaux Superieur

Not all Bordeaux has to be, or is meant to be, massive, tannic and extracted. This soft little red was intended to be lighter, fresh, “time for another glass” wine. Comes from soils rich with clay and limestone this Merlot dominated but with some Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec blended in for color, a bit more bite and to add layers. Only stainless aging, so no oak, which keeps the wine soft, agreeable and super food friendly. Great value.
