Francoise & Denis Clair 2022 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru "Sous Roche Dumay", Burgundy

You looking for 1er Cru Meursault but not looking to sell one of your lesser important organs to pay for it? I think I found your wine. Older vines give this wine a deeply extracted texture and enormous complexity. The wine is aged 12 months in oak, 20% of which is new thusly giving the wine even more lusciousness and groan inducing pleasure. Pears poached in spiced, buttery liquid, toasted bread with roasted cashews, a smattering of tart orange zest, gardenias with a palate staining weight. There is plenty of zing on the finish here, just a nibble of tart corseting the wines curves.
