Jacky Blot is one of two pioneers in Montlouis that were essential in pulling Montlouis from under the shadow of Vouvray. Jacky takes a Burgundian approach to his Chenin Blanc and focuses of each plot and its specific terroir. Jacky has become sort of a cult figure in the Loire Valley and tasting his wines you will quickly discover why. We were only allocated 3 cases of this Triple Zero sparkling Chenin Blanc made from vines with an average age of 60-80 years, all organically farmed. No sugar added at any point of the process of making this gorgeous and complex sparkling wine. Tons of mineral from the soil but wrapped in plump, curvy, sexy fruit and citrus. Pure fruit, refined texture and a hauntingly long finish. Brilliant wine from first sip to last drop.
